Mineurs d'ici et d'ailleurs

The Centre Historique Minier (Historic Mining Center), France's most important mining museum, has brought together in the exhibition Mineurs d'ici et d'ailleurs (Miners from here and elsewhere), twenty five French and international photographers, artists and photo reporters, each carrying their very own vision of the mining world and more specifically, the mining environment. All 200 black & white and color images, shot all over the world in the course of the last fifty years, allow the public to discover the faces of men, women and children who, although quite different, demonstrate an identical universality.

In collaboration with Caroline Bouchard for the British artist Allan Jenkins and his work on Matahambre's copper miners and labor conditions in Cuba.
